The day of surgery
It’s natural to be somewhat nervous about a surgical procedure, especially as the day arrives. All of us at Orthopaedic Associates understand and will work to ensure that you’re calm and relaxed as you prepare. Please plan for the following on the day of your surgery:
- Arrive at least an hour prior to your scheduled surgery time to give us time for required admission procedures
Please bring:
- All paperwork provided by Orthopaedic Associates
- Your insurance card(s)
- Driver’s license or photo ID
- Any prescription medications and medical equipment
- Wear loose fitting clothing and comfortable shoes (no high heels)
- Leave jewelry and valuables at home
- Avoid wearing cosmetics and contact lenses
- Bring a blanket and pillow(s) for the ride home
- If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, ALERT the physician; anesthetics may be harmful to the unborn child.
If you have questions, please call us at 920.682.6376.
