Preparing for surgery
Preparing in the days before your surgery can make the entire experience more comfortable and relaxing, Please plan for the following:
- If anesthetics or other types of sedation are used in the course of your surgery, you will not be allowed to drive home following your surgery. Please arrange for transportation and make certain someone can stay with you for 24 hours following surgery.
- You will be provided instructions on the amount of food and liquids you can consume the day before your surgery. Please follow these instructions carefully or we may be forced to cancel your procedure.
- If medications are prescribed, you will be provided instructions your physician or a staff member. Please be prepared to list all medications you are taking and bring them along with any other medical equipment you many need during your stay.
