Training
Trained at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, Dr. Kuester completed residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis and a fellowship in sports medicine at Duke University. With this interest in sports, he runs a free weekly Saturday morning training room, an after-the-game triage service, for student athletes and has organized baseball, golf and volleyball seminars to assist local athletes and coaches in planning appropriate conditioning for safer competition.
Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Kuester is also one of only two physicians in the region who are sub-specialty certified in sports medicine. His interest in new sports technology and minimally invasive arthoscopic orthopaedic techniques has made him an innovator in introducing these procedures locally.
President of the County Medical Association, Dr. Kuester also serves on the Workmen's Compensation and other state level committees dealing with health financing for the Wisconsin State Medical Society.
